What would you do in an emergency situation?
The aim of this course is to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to sustain life, reduce pain and minimise the consequences of injury or sudden illness of a casualty until professional help arrives.
Formerly known as Senior First Aid, the Provide First Aid course incorporates 3 competencies including
HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation,
HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support and
HLTAID011 Provide first aid.

The course includes some online pre-study, followed by 2 hands-on classroom evening sessions. The evening sessions can also be combined into 1 full day on a weekend or during school holidays.
This is the current nationally recognised course that employers in Australia require. It is also a pre-requisite for some PADI courses including Rescue Diver, Dive Master, and Open Water Instructor.
Provide CPR should be renewed every 12 months.
First Aid should be renewed every 3 years, however some PADI courses (eg Rescue and Divemaster) require First Aid certification within the last 2 years.
