Steramine is a must have for CCR divers to disinfect loop and other internal breathing compartments of the rebreather. It disinfects on contact and is the most effective product on the market available today.
Steramine can also be used to disinfect dive Regulators, masks and snorkels.
Use 1 to 2 tablets per 1 gallon of warm water. Allow several minutes for tablets to dissolve.
Immerse articles for at least one minute or for contact time specified by governing sanitary code. Allow articles to air dry on a rack or drainboard. To use as a spray to sanitize food-processing equipment, sinks, countertops, refrigerated storage and other hard non-porous food contact articles and surfaces: Wash and rinse all articles and surfaces thoroughly. Apply the solution (1 tab per 1 gallon) using a hand trigger sprayer or wipe on. Allow surface to remain wet for at least one minute followed by adequate draining and air-drying.
The active ingredient is (Quaternary) Alkyl (C14 95%. C12 3%. C16 2%) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride dihydrate (50%).
Quats (quaternary ammonium compounds) are potent disinfectant chemicals commonly found in disinfectant wipes, sprays and other household cleaners that are designed to kill germs.
Steramine Tablets are commonly used for sanitising food contact surfaces, including dishes, glasses and utensils.
