Pre-requisites: PADI Open Water or equivalent
South Australia is home to some of the most unusual and spectacular marine life, and winter can provide some excellent diving opportunities with great visibility and an abundance of rare species. However, it is also relatively cold!
Having a drysuit is the best way to enjoy your diving in South Australia all year round, but drysuit use does require some different techniques.
The PADI Drysuit specialty will introduce you to using your drysuit in “confined water” and open water. It includes information about drysuit care, drysuit use, buoyancy control, and avoiding and dealing with potential drysuit problems while diving. This course is highly recommended for anyone buying their first dry suit, or previous drysuit users wanting to refresh their skills.
Course cost $395pp. (No additional surcharge for a private drysuit course).
Includes theory session(s), “confined water” practice and two open water shore dives.
Does not include equipment hire.
You must have your own drysuit to participate in this course, however we do offer a course/drysuit package deal if you purchase your drysuit from Underwater Sports.
